About Dorota Qaid
Since childhood, I loved travel, history, art and architecture. Over the years, my love and appreciation for architecture have grown the strongest, and the best way I’ve been able to express my passion, has been through photography. Modern architecture comes with both beauty and critique, and it’s often subject to the harsh realities of the latter. Over the course of my work, I’ve decided to concentrate on showing the simplicity, elegance, classiness, and evolutionary ideas that capture how architecture continues to grow and move through time.
Through my aesthetic style, I take many photos in black and white. Unless the color plays a main role in the design, I strip my photographs to a monochromatic finish, as I believe it provides a stronger and purer message. It also makes it easier to understand the subject of the photograph and realize how contemporary architecture is beautiful.
