As a photographer, I create contemporary floral still lifes inspired by the rich tradition of Dutch flower painting and classical still life. Using carefully arranged bouquets of ethically sourced wild and garden flowers, foliage, and selected blooms from local florists, my photographs reinterpret this historic art form through a modern photographic approach.
Light and composition are used to reveal the character of every stem, leaf, and petal while celebrating the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
Bringing nature into the home has become a deeply important part of my creative practice.
