About Oscar Zhu
Hi, I’m a 16-year-old street photographer from Markham, Ontario, Canada. I picked up my first camera as a form of creative expression after receiving one as a gift from my family. I draw close to the feeling of sonder, the realization that every passerby has a life as vivid and complex as my own. Through my lens, I aim to capture these unnoticed moments that reveal deeper stories: a hurried glance, a worn coat, or quiet stillness in a noisy crowd. My work has been published in a magazine, and I continue to use photography as a way to reflect on the beauty and complexity of everyday lives.
