About Stojan Saveski
Stojan Saveski was born in 1960 in Ohrid, North Macedonia, where he lives and works. In 1983, he graduated at the Faculty of Journalism in Skopje, after which he devoted his more than a four decades of professional engagement to journalism, documentary and photography.
He is the author of about a dozen books, including three photo-monographies, dedicated to the cultural history of his native Ohrid. A city known for its rich history with significant cultural monuments (architectural buildings - fortresses, churches and monasteries, city buildings, frescoes and iconographic achievements), which testify to the continuous life of the city for over 3,000 years.
He presents the wealth of the city on a global scale through his active engagement in artistic photography. He regularly participates in calls around the world where he has the opportunity to present significant and rare architectural and other significant achievements from Ohrid.
For his work in the field of photography, he has received several international awards and recognitions.
