About Melisa Maggi
My passion for photography started even before I ever held a camera. I’ve always loved observing whatever was in front of me—people, landscapes, animals, everyday scenes. I’ve always been drawn to the way light moves through space, how it touches a face, or shapes a moment.
I mostly shoot film because it helps me stay present, to be in the here and now. There’s something about the slower pace and the intention behind each shot that makes me feel more connected to what I’m capturing.
My mom once said to me “Show me the world through your beautiful eyes.” That simple sentence stuck with me, and ever since, it’s been at the heart of everything I photograph.
