Contest entries are not publicly visible during the judging process. Once the contest results are officially released, winning photos and the names of the winning participants will be displayed. Non-winning entries remain hidden.
-
Our contests are open to photographers worldwide, including professionals, hobbyists, students, and emerging artists. Some contests may have specific eligibility requirements, so please review the details on each contest page before submitting.

Images must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format. We recommend a 3:2 or 2:3 aspect ratio, around 2000×3000 px resolution, 72 dpi for web display, and sRGB or Adobe RGB color space.
The minimum image size is 500×500 px, and the file size must be under 10 MB. Photos with frames, text, logos, or watermarks are not allowed unless specifically permitted by the contest rules.

The Expert Choice Award is a special recognition given by the Top Photo Awards team or judging panel. It highlights a photo that may not have placed in the official top rankings but stood out for its creativity, emotional impact, originality, or technical excellence.
This award celebrates artistic merit beyond standard ranking and recognizes unique vision and talent.
-
TopPhotoAwards.com may remove any image from the website or disqualify it from current or future contests if, in our judgment, it does not meet our technical, aesthetic, ethical, or platform standards.
Images may be removed for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Technically deficient files: extremely low-resolution, heavily blurred, badly compressed, or poor-quality images without clear artistic purpose.
- Military or violent content: photographs depicting warfare, weapons, armed forces, or glorification of violence.
- Pornographic or explicit sexual content: images showing genitals, sexual acts, or content that crosses the line from artistic nude to pornography.
- Lack of artistic or documentary intent: random snapshots or images without evident creative vision, storytelling value, or relevance to the contest theme.
- Religious or nationalist propaganda: images primarily created to promote a specific religion, belief system, political ideology, or nationalist message.
- Branding or over-processing: photos with visible logos, watermarks, borders, frames, collages, or excessive digital manipulation not allowed by the contest rules.
- Unauthored work: content not photographed by the submitting account holder or content for which the submitter does not have full authorship and usage rights.
- Duplicated content: identical or near-identical images submitted by the same or another user, including multiple minimally altered versions intended to spam or manipulate the platform.
This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. We reserve the right to remove any photograph that does not align with the creative vision, technical standards, or values of TopPhotoAwards.com.
